Direct Support Professional

Before you get started, you should have a copy of the Therap New User Training Checklist handy. If you don't have one yet, click here, and you can print a copy out for yourself.

  1. Your Provider Administrator will give you a User Name, Password and Provider Code to login to the system. Please contact your Provider Administrator, if you do not have this information.
  2. Any time you need to use Therap, you will need to go to www.TherapServices.net and click on the Secure Login button (up at the top right of the screen).
  3. On the Login Screen you will need your Login Name, Password, and Provider Code. If you don't remember any of these you will need to contact your provider administrator. (All this will be covered in the intro by T-Girl)
  4. T-Logs
    The first module we are going to learn about is T-Logs. Click here to learn about T-Logs.

    Now that you know all about T-Logs, you can switch to Test Mode and practice reading and writing T-Logs for yourself. Don't forget to mark it off on your Checklist.
  5. Health Tracking
    Now we are going to do the same thing for some Health Tracking modules. Click here and T-Girl will tell you all about them.
    Now practice for yourself in Test Mode. Remember to mark off your checklist.
  6. General Event Reports
    If you need to document an incident in Therap you will use our General Event Report (GER) module.

  7. Secure Communications
    Secure Communications (or SComm as we usually call it) is Therap's HIPAA secure internal "email" system.
    T-Girl can give you a presentation right now on how to use it. After that, you should go through this quickgiude on how to send SComm messages that are not related to any programs.

Once you have gone through this with your staff they are ready to start doing their documentation in Therap.

  • A List of Therap Terminology: This will help you know the popular terminologies used in Therap applications.
  • Automated Training: This animated tutorial will give you video demonstration on using popular therap applications.
  • Live Webinars: Therap provides Webinars or more commonly, web conferencing to hold group meetings or live presentations over the Internet. Webinars may include slide presentations as well as demonstrations of Therap's various applications, accompanied by voice communication through the conventional PSTN lines.
  • Recorded Webinars: This lets you watch previously recoderded webinars.
  • Help & Support: A comprehensive all in one hub for learning Therap applications.
  • User Guide: The User Guide has detailed instructions on the common Therap applications.
  • Quick Guides: These guides show you how to use the new features and make the most out of our applications. All our Quick Guides come with detailed step by step procedures, along with screenshots and helpful notes to make learning Therap easy and fast.
  • Walkabouts: Learn and test your knowledge on Therap applications using the different animated walkthroughs.
  • FAQs: A large database of Frequently Asked Questions can help come across many popular topics on efficient and better use of Therap applications.
  • Training Games: Test your skills in many of innovative games. Explore outer space while learning Therap in the 3D Game, compete with friends and co-workers in E-Quizzes or set up a contest in your agency by printing out the Scavenger Hunt questions.

You and your staff can also go back and review any of the training that you did with T-Girl at any time.
