Become a Certified Therap Services Trainer

For an agency to become eligible to enroll staff members in this process, they must meet the following requirements:

The agency should be using at least four of the following modules: Tlogs, GERs, Health Tracking, ISPs and SComm.
The agency should have made transition from paper, meaning they are live using these modules and have been so for a minimum of three months.
The agency should have the majority of DSPs, management staff, and clinical staff actively using the system.
The agency must be current on their invoice.

For an individual to qualify, they need to do the following:

Attend at least one conference annually - preferably the annual National Provider Administrators' conference.
Expectations include:
- Attend/Co-present in special sessions on "Train the Trainers"
- Present their agency's training process for critique/discussion
- Discuss policies & procedures related to Therap that were implemented

Participate as a trainer in one other Therap conference (aside from national) annually.
- This will allow the individual to gain experience in training others from different areas, as well as help them to learn new modules.
- This also ensures that the trainer remains up to date with Therap upgrades and communicates them to his/her agency.
- This requirement may be waived if cost is shown to be a significant factor (or scheduling, etc.) and the individual will be asked to view additional webinars (or conduct some other remote activity) at Therap's discretion.
- Therap will cover the cost of registration fee.

Expectations include:
- Attend sessions 40-60% of the time
- Co-lead sessions 40-60% of the time
- Join in discussions surrounding training materials, etc.

Other Requirements
- Participate in or listen to four Therap webinars chosen from a list The individual can either attend the live conference or view the webinar at their convenience. They will be required to answer a brief questionnaire on each webinar.
- Conduct one training session within their agency with a Therap staff member either onsite or listening in over the phone, demonstrating knowledge of the system mechanics, as well as Therap’s training and support materials.
- Complete an annual test via webinar or onsite with a Therap staff member to include a variety of questions as well as requiring the individual to demonstrate their knowledge of the system.
- Comment within Therap Ideas regularly. These have to be useful comments - not just making responses to stay certified.

Agency qualifies to maintain their discount level for the 4th year of pricing
Certified Trainer receives acknowledgment within Therap Ideas as a certified trainer, as well as receiving a Therap certificate of completion. Certified Trainers and their agencies will be listed on Therap website.
