General Event Reports

The Incident Report (IR) and Medication Error Report (MER) applications have been combined in the General Event Reports (GER) application to ensure wider features and flexibility. Users can record multiple related events such as injury, medication error, death, and restraint among others. Common information on all event types needs to be entered only once.

To allow more flexibility and access control there are separate Submit, Approve, Review, and View Roles for each event type. Users with the appropriate Roles can create, approve, review, view, and delete these reports.

GER Med Error Approve Approve GERs that have Med Errors reported
GER Witness When assigned, the user can be selected as a ‘Witness’ for an event
GER Death Approve GERs that have Death events reported
GER Delete Delete GERs
GER Followup Add follow‐ups or attach files to an approved GER
GER Submit Save or Submit GERs, make changes to Returned GERs (Delete saved or returned GERs that were created by the user himself)
GER Approve Approve or Return submitted GERs (Cannot approve GERs with Med Errors or Death events)
GER View View approved GERs
GER Review Add review comments or attach file to a GER that is in Pending Approval/In‐Prep/Returned status
