Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) is an independent nonprofit organization concerned with the adoption of robust, interoperable health information technology. CCHIT is also the authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) Approved by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Therap is pursuing CCHIT certification as a Long Term and Post Acute Care (LTPAC) EHR. We expect to be CCHIT Certified by mid 2012. Therap's release plan for CCHIT compliance:
